Baby Yumm! Bowls

Cafe Yumm has been rocking my world ever since my University of Oregon college days. It is true when they say this food is “Soul Satisfying…Deeply Nourishing.”

Being without a Cafe Yumm! in Roseburg, I purchased the amazing Yumm! sauce and headed to my kitchen, newly married. They say, “A way to a man’s heart is through is stomach,” so the pressure was on – especially because I have quite the tunnel mouth for a husband.

What is not to like and how can you not like how good it is for you? Rice, beans, Cafe Yumm! Original Yumm! Sauce, cheese, salsa/tomatoes, avocado, olives, sour cream and a dash of cilantro. “Yumm!” is right!

Once my husband grew addicted to the Yumm!, I was excited to venture out and make it for Audrey once she was in Stage Two foods (7-8 months). I thought…”Wow, this is really healthy and packed with all the nutrients a growing baby needs…in just one bowl!” And we can all eat the same thing for dinner.

What a coincidence that Cafe Yumm! began more than 30 years ago in order to coax the founder’s 2-year-old daughter to eat vegetables and grains.

I’m pretty sure your baby will say YUMMMM!!!!

Here are my Baby Yumm! Bowl ingredients:

Baby rice cereal, warm (approx. 2-3 tablespoons)

Black beans (organic & low sodium good choices), mashed 2-3 tbsp.

Cafe Yumm! Organic Original Sauce (click here to order or find it at a store near you)

Trust me,  you will want this for the whole family!

Ingredients: canola oil, lemon, water, nutritional yeast, garbanzo beans, soy, garlic and herbs. Gluten-Free, Low Sodium  & Sugar-Free

1 tbsp sauce

A small amount of shredded cheddar cheese (melted optional)

Avocado (mash depending on your baby’s stage of chewing)

Also, add tomatoes and a little cilantro  once your baby starts getting used to the flavor

Have fun with the Yumm!
