We bought this farmhouse table at a thrift store for about $50. I totally loved it, but I never loved the black paint it came with. After buying it and prepping for our newlywed nest, I attempted to get the paint off.
I scraped. I paint-removed. Repeat. And repeat. And repeat.
This table was so stubborn that my patience dwindled. Not only did the previous owners put coats and coats of black paint on it, but there was a horrible glue-like primer on it as well.
Well, I gave up and distressed the table instead. Four years later, I finally attacked the paint again and after lots of sweat, early mornings and late nights – the table was finished.
